Three legs, one arrangement. We handle the whole chain so you land and simply arrive.
Getting to Holbox means a road journey, a ferry and a short ride on the island. Done alone it is three separate queues and a certain amount of luck with timing. Done through us it is one confirmation with your name on it.
Leg one — by road
To the port of Chiquilá
Private car, shared shuttle or a van for the whole group. Your driver waits at arrivals with your name.
Playa del Carmen
For guests continuing from the Riviera Maya, or breaking the journey on the way up.
Tulum
Including Tulum airport (TQO). A common pairing: a few nights there, then the quiet up here.
Times are approximate and depend on traffic and the season. Price per vehicle to confirm — we quote yours by group size and pick-up point.
Leg two — by sea
The ferry to the island
The crossing from Chiquilá takes around 25 minutes. Two companies run it through the day, and in high season the boats fill.
We can buy your tickets in advance and have them waiting, so you walk straight on instead of queueing at the window with your luggage.

Leg three — on the island
From the pier to the house
There are no cars on Holbox. From the pier it is a short golf-cart ride to Casa Odara, and we can have one waiting for you with the luggage sorted.

Good to know
Before you book your flights
- Leave margin on the last leg. The final ferry of the day is earlier than people expect, and missing it means a night in Chiquilá. Tell us your flight and we will tell you whether it works.
- You cannot bring a car onto the island. If you drive, you leave it in a guarded lot in Chiquilá.
- Pack for sand. Wheeled suitcases and sand streets are not friends. It is not a problem — just expect to be carried the last stretch.
- Departure day works backwards. We will work out what time you need to leave the house to make your flight, and arrange all three legs in reverse.
